Understanding AIS: Practical Information for Analyzing Injuries using AIS Codes

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This pre-conference workshop will focus on the practical use of AIS for analysis and research. Dataset examples and group exercises will walk students through real-world applications for using AIS codes.

1. Discussion of mapping codes
2. Localizers and working examples
3. Database analyses activities
4. Proper AIS publication techniques

The material for this class is designed for researchers, analysts, epidemiologists, and graduate students who use AIS codes within their data analysis.

All attendees will receive an AIS 2015 Dictionary (electronic copy) with registration.

Participants will receive a document of participation upon successful completion of the workshop.
