Frequently Asked Questions

Attendees

Q: What is AAAM’s Scientific Conference?

A: Our conference is a four-day event filled with can’t-miss keynotes, full paper talks, short communication talks, and much more. It is the gathering of approximately 150-200 professionals involved in automotive engineering, trauma medicine and research on road traffic safety. It is the opportunity for leaders from a variety of disciplines to share their strategies and research. It is where ideas turn into actions that save lives. If you are interested in learning about the latest and greatest scientific research in all areas of road and traffic safety, you are encouraged to attend.

Q: How does the conference switching to virtual impact my existing registration and hotel reservation?

A: The intention is to make the switch as seamless as possible for you, which is why we will refund the difference between your in-person rate and virtual rate without processing fees or penalties. If you registered during our early bird promotion, AAAM will honor the early bird rate for virtual registration. You will receive the refund by Oct. 18, 2021. The Conrad Indianapolis will cancel your hotel reservation and send you a confirmation email. If you made alternative accommodations and you are not planning to travel to Indianapolis, please cancel those reservations.

If you were already planning to attend the conference virtually, you’re all set. All you have to do is sit back, relax and count down the days until we reunite for an unforgettable event.

Q: Where can I see a conference schedule?

A: A tentative conference schedule is available. You can also find out more about our keynote speakers.

Q: What if I am unavailable to tune in for every session?
