Call for Short Communications & Poster Abstracts

The AAAM’s Scientific Program Committee (SPC) invites short communications and poster abstracts for the 2020 64th Annual Scientific Conference for the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine, describing original scientific work that cover that cover all aspects reflected in the Five Pillars of the United Nations (UN) Decade of Action (see Global Plan) and the Haddon Matrix (not limited to #1 Road Safety Management; #2 Safer Roads and mobility; #3 Safer Vehicles; #4 Safer Road Users and #5 Post-Crash Response). All fields of study addressing AAAM’s mission are encouraged to submit, including but not limited to: physicians, engineers, policymakers, psychologists, statisticians, sociologists, and other researchers.

The conference will be held in Portland, Oregon, USA at The Benson from October 13 – 16, 2020.

Scientific work may be reported in the following formats:

Submit Full Length Paper Abstract (CLOSED)
Short Communications – (due April 30, 2020) (TEMPLATE)
Posters (Abstracts due April 30, 2020) (TEMPLATE)
Student Research Symposium (due April 30, 2020) (TEMPLATE)

DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR NAME OR AFFILIATION IN THE BODY OF YOUR ABSTRACT. The abstract process is anonymous.

Short Communications much contain the following headings and can be no more than 2,000 words in length:
– Title
– Abstract
– Introduction
– Methods
– Results
– Discussion
– References

Poster abstracts may not exceed 500 words and include the following subheadings:
– Research Question / Objective
– Methods
– Data Sources
– Results
– Significance of results
