Optional Tour

Join us to see how Spain’s equivalent of the U.S.’ 911 system operates! SAMUR-Proteccion Civil is the pre-hospital emergency public service of the city of Madrid, responding to about 100,000 emergency calls per year. With more than 190 ambulances, the service has pioneered the incorporation of medical procedures in the vehicles while the patients are taken to the hospital. Select personnel were trained in the U.S. and will be able to highlight the differences between pre-hospital medical care in Spain and in the U.S.  The tour will be conducted in English. Price per attendee: $10 USD Space is limited and available on a first come, first-serve basis. The tour is open to attendees and their guests. Registration details coming soon!
