New $5K Mini-Grant Available for Motorcycle Safety Research

AAAM’s Motorcycle Safety Special Interest Group announces a new $5,000 mini-grant for research projects.

Criteria: The purpose of the grant is to support the research on motorcyclists’ safety via real-world data collection in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC). AAAM is a multidisciplinary community, we are looking for and strongly encourage collaborations and interdisciplinary submissions. The collected dataset should be made available with the support of AAAM. The target is to present the project at the earliest opportunity at the AAAM Conference in 2023 or in 2024 (e.g., short communication or poster presentation). Research activities to be conducted in the period April-December 2023. This is a call for Group members to submit project proposals. A $5,000 grant will be awarded to the chosen proposal to support research on motorcycle safety.

Format: Project proposals should not be longer than 3 pages in length (including any pictures and/or figures). It should be typewritten in Calibri 11 font in PDF or WORD format.

Who should apply: Early career researchers with their teams (we strongly encourage collaborations and interdisciplinary submissions). One member of the research team must be a member of AAAM. For membership information, click here.

Evaluation of the proposals: Reviews will be conducted in the month of March 2023 by dedicated committee members of the Motorcyclists’ Safety Special Interest Group – MS SIG.
