Webinar: Behind the scenes look at an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash test

Join AAAM on December 15th at 10 AM ET for a virtual tour and crash test at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. At this event, participants will see how a vehicle is prepared for crash-testing and experience the final countdown to impact. You’ll then get to watch the crash in slow motion from different angles. Finally, you’ll learn about the post-crash measurements and calculations used to translate the test results into a final rating. IIHS experts will be available to answer all your questions following the presentation.

Presenters:
Becky Mueller is a senior research engineer at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Ms. Mueller joined the Institute in 2011 and has been involved in the Institute’s small overlap frontal and side impact crashworthiness evaluation programs and has conducted research on crashworthiness, injury biomechanics, advanced crash test dummies and vehicle-to-pedestrian crashes.
Jessica Jermakian is vice president for vehicle research at the Insurance 
Institute for Highway Safety. Dr. Jermakian joined the Institute in 2009 and has conducted research on topics ranging from crash avoidance and crashworthiness to child passenger safety.
