This two-day course teaches trauma professionals how to use the Abbreviated Injury Scale when classifying traumatic injuries. Participants will learn the history of AIS, the structure of the code, rules and guidelines, the configuration of the Injury Severity Score (ISS), and how it is utilized within a trauma program for calculating probability of survival, among other statistics.
