Child Restraint Systems – Handling Used or Expired Products Responsibly, Sustainably, and Ethically
Monday, February 10, 2025
2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. CT
AAAM’s Child and Youth Global Road Safety Special Interest Group is proud to host a 60-minute webinar, “Child Restraint Systems – Handling Used or Expired Products Responsibly, Sustainably, and Ethically.”
Description
Child restraint systems (CRS) are essential products which protect children in crashes. Unfortunately, many of these products end up in the landfill after a short lifespan. Our expert speakers will discuss some considerations and challenges related to handling CRS responsibly and sustainably, especially through the lens of global equity. Attendees will learn how a sample of used and expired CRS performed in dynamic crash tests and the implications of this research. We will also examine how CRS manufacturers approach their responsibility of environmental sustainability. This webinar is targeted toward traffic safety professionals who are interested in exploring these challenges from a multi-faceted approach with a focus on CPS support for the lower-income country.
This webinar counts as 1 CEU for Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs)
