AAAM Launches New Digital Experience and AIS Website to Enhance Access, Engagement, and Collaboration

AAAM is excited to announce the launch of a new and enhanced digital experience, including a dedicated website for the Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) and a full redesign of AAAM’s main website.

These updates are designed to better serve AAAM’s global community by improving navigation, expanding access to key resources, and creating a more modern, user-friendly platform. The new AIS website provides streamlined access to essential injury scaling information, training materials, and tools, while the refreshed AAAM website highlights the association’s programs, publications, and opportunities for member engagement.

In the coming months, we will be rolling out integrated online communities, powered by Higher Logic, for both the new AAAM and AIS websites. These online communities will foster greater connection and collaboration across the field by providing spaces for members to ask questions, share knowledge and resources, collaborate on ideas, and expand their professional networks. The AAAM website will feature a central community for all members, along with dedicated communities for individual committees and Special Interest Groups (SIGs), enabling more focused discussions and engagement. Stay tuned for my updates about this exciting new feature!

Together, these enhancements reflect AAAM’s ongoing commitment to advancing automotive medicine through innovation and accessibility. As AAAM President Sjaan Koppel, PhD, explains, “The goal is to make it easier for members and external stakeholders to access and engage with scientific knowledge, educational resources, and meaningful opportunities for collaboration.”

This website initiative is a key component of AAAM’s Strategic Plan and reflects the association’s continued focus on evolving to meet members’ needs. Informed by member feedback, these enhancements were designed to create a more connected, resource-rich, and engaging experience for the AAAM community. By investing in these digital improvements, AAAM is strengthening its capacity to support collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and professional growth across the field.

We can’t wait for you all to experience new opportunities for community connectivity. Check out the revamped aaam.org today and visit the new AIS site at aisinjuryscale.org.
