Road Safety in Low- & Middle-Income Countries
Presented by LMIC Special Interest Group
In their latest Global Status Report on Road Safety (2018), the World Health Organisation show that death rates in Low and Middle Income countries are 3 times higher per capita than that of higher income countries and the gap is increasing. The session will address this burgeoning road safety problem and will address what can be done immediately to improve safety in these regions. The role of AAAM in working with these countries will be a key feature of the session where the audience will hear from experts and have a chance to discuss this openly.
The 63rd Annual Scientific Conference will be held at Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid, Spain. AAAM has reserved a room block for attendees at the Courtyard Madrid Princesa, a short 4-minute walk to the University.
This is the only conference dedicated to multidisciplinary approaches to automotive-related trauma. It includes the latest published and active research in areas such as epidemiology, biomechanics, treatment.
