AAAM held its 60th Annual Scientific Conference in September with nearly 120 students, researchers, trauma physicians and automotive safety professionals. Nearly a third of attendees were from outside the U.S. showing a growing global appeal for the valuable content provided. AAAM is the only organization offering an Annual Scientific conference dedicated exclusively to multidisciplinary approaches to decrease automotive-related trauma.

AAAM’s Annual Scientific Conference is regarded as the most authoritative forum on current knowledge in traffic injury control. Refereed papers presented at the conference routinely address injury studies, injury severity scoring, the biomechanics of impact, the relationship of injury and vehicle design, the role of alcohol in crashes, the long term medical and socioeconomic consequences of crash injuries, and a comprehensive array of other issues critical to the understanding and prevention of motor vehicle trauma.
